Neurosurgery at The London Brain Centre is provided by leading neurosurgeons, all of whom are on the staff of nearby teaching and postgraduate hospitals.
In the course of their day to day work our consultants deal with the full range of adult neurosurgical disorders, but specialise in brain surgery in both their NHS and Private Practice.
Patients are referred to Consultants at The London Brain Centre by their general practitioners, by other neurosurgeons in the UK or overseas, by consultants in related specialties such as neurology, ENT, rheumatology and orthopaedics and by practitioners in other fields, such as physiotherapy, osteopathy and chiropractic services.
Where surgery is the most or only appropriate treatment, our Consultants can arrange for the operation to be performed without delay and for less acute cases at a mutually convenient time.
Anaesthetic services are provided by experienced specialist Neuro-Anaesthetists and post-operative care is provided in our 'state of the art' intensive care unit, which is situated immediately adjacent to the Neurosurgery theatre suite.
Our well trained staff are specialists in their Neuroscience interests and our dedicated neurosurgical ward can accommodate up to 20 acute patients, where everyone will receive Consultant led care at all times.
